What is Belief Work? |
Muscle Testing |
We attract our experiences based on our thoughts and, more importantly, our feelings. Because our thoughts and our feelings are based on our beliefs, our beliefs create our perspective, and our perspective is our reality.
Consider, for example, that you and a friend are supposed to meet for lunch. You arrive on time, but your friend never arrives. If you believe your friend stood you up, you may feel anger. If you believe your friend was in an accident, you may feel worried. Your experience and reaction are directly related to your belief. The facts of the incident are the same. Your friend didn't show up. Whether you experience anger or worry depends on what you believe. Belief work can be especially transforming when applied to our subconscious beliefs. How many times have you tried to visualize and say affirmations, only to never get what you want, or worse... get more of what you don't want? Chances are you are holding subconscious beliefs that are contrary to what you are trying to manifest. You can't draw something into your life, at least not permanently, unless you believe it's possible, and that especially means believing it at the subconscious level. Your subconscious beliefs may have been learned as a child, held in your past life memory, or have been genetically passed down to you in your DNA and cell memory. That's right. The beliefs you hold may not even be yours!!! Belief work is the clearing of traumas and replacement of limiting beliefs, including subconscious beliefs, with more positive beliefs. Clearing these blocks can transform your life on many levels and heighten your manifesting abilities by allowing you to draw to you what you truly desire. |
Muscle testing is a technique that you can use to check your belief system. It can be particularly helpful in understanding your subconscious beliefs. You probably don't know which beliefs you hold subconsciously. This is what makes them subconscious! But your energy knows, because your subconscious is part of your energy, and you can tap into this energetic knowledge.
There are many ways to muscle test. One way is to stand up straight facing north. Say the word YES and watch which way your body leans in response; typically it will lean forward. Say the word NO and watch which way your body leans in response; typically it will lean backward. Once you've tested YES and NO, test something you know is true such as your name. Say "My name is <your name>" and verify that you get the YES response. Then say "My name is <some other name>" and verify that you get the NO response. These initial tests help you learn how your body responds with a YES and a NO. When doing belief work, you can use muscle testing to determine whether or not you are holding limiting beliefs. For example, muscle test to see if you hold the belief "Money is the root of all evil". At the conscious level, you may not intellectually believe this, but at the subconscious level, you may. And if you hold this belief, it could prevent you from manifesting financial abundance, because at some level you fear you will become evil if you have money. Thus you may subconsciously avoid drawing money to yourself to prevent yourself from becoming evil. |
