A lot of you have shared with me some of the dreams you’ve been having recently. I’ve had some fascinating ones as well. Much, if not all, of what we’ve been experiencing is related to the ever-increasing vibration. I’ve categorized them into four groups:
1 – Healing: We’ve addressed this type of dream before as many have been experiencing these types of dreams since the beginning of the year. In a healing dream you may find yourself releasing extreme emotions that you’d never share in real life, such as screaming intensely at someone who has hurt you. This is an excellent and healthy way of releasing deep rage and anger without harming the one who triggers it in you, without being unnecessarily cruel or unkind. You feel better as a result because you were able to get the emotion out, even if the other person didn’t hear what you had to say. That they hear the words isn’t key to the healing; it’s your feeling and releasing of the emotion that’s important. You may also find yourself dreaming about some past experience, perhaps each time with a different outcome. For example, I used to have two variations of a dream pertaining to an old relationship. The relationship had ended in real life years ago. I had one dream where I’d get back to together with this person and marry him; then I’d regret that decision in the dream. I had a second dream where he’d want me to marry him, and I’d refuse knowing it wouldn’t work; then I’d feel sad for him to have to say “no”, but I’d feel relief in not marrying him. While both dreams ended differently, the message was the same – that
separating from that individual was meant to be and that marrying him would not be for my greatest good. So we may find ourselves dreaming of topics that we feel are far in our past, and those dreams could be helping us heal further and/or get clarity on what happened (which can also be a healing in and of itself). The increased vibration surrounding the solstice is helping to bring all issues to the forefront that need to be healed in order for us to move further in our evolutionary growth. There may be situations far in our past that we thought we had long-since healed, but there may still be little pieces left from those situations that are coming up now for a final healing.
2 – Awakening: These can be fun! And educational! An awakening dream is a dream in which you discover your healing progress or lack thereof. For me, these dreams always have to do with flying or floating above ground. If I’m floating, them I making healing progress, but the fact that I’m not airborne and free indicates that something is holding me down (weighing me down close to the ground). So the dream teaches me that I’m having movement in my wakened life which is good, but someone or something is holding me back. In these cases, when I awake, I think about where I’m having positive movement in my life and consider what or who might be holding me back. The flying dreams are even more direct. Recently, whenever I’m asleep and realize that I’m dreaming, my immediate thought is to ignore whatever is going on in the dream and immediately try to fly. I guess this is a very “Raven-thing” to do! Lately, I’ve been consistently successful at getting airborne, staying airborne, and flying high and far, with nothing holding me down. In the past, however, I’d often find that I couldn’t take off, or I’d get in the air but feel like something was holding me back. I’d look down and see a rope tied to my foot that someone was holding on the ground, and then I’d look to see who had the other end of the rope (which told me explicitly who was holding me back in my waking life, even if it was just an emotional or psychic hold). In my most recent flying dream, someone on the ground was throwing arrows with flames at me. I could easily dodge the arrows in the air, and then I realized that there was an air space that was a safety zone where I could fly where the arrows couldn’t reach. And there was someone in my safety zone on the ground who was defending me by keeping the arrow-thrower from coming onto the ground underneath this air space. If you find you have repeated dreams of a certain nature, consider writing them down when you awaken and see if you can see what they’re telling you. You might discover areas in which healing would be beneficial, and you may also discover the progress you’ve made on the path back to self-empowerment! Dreams can offer sign posts showing you where you are relative to your soul’s path.
3 – Psychic Communication: Souls may try to communicate with us in our dreams. This includes souls who have crossed-over into the light. For example, my best friend who died 8 years ago usually visits me at least once a year in my dreams; it is a chance for us to reconnect and hug each other. Angels and spirit guides may also try to communicate with you in this fashion, to share guidance and offer support. Souls who are still incarnate may also try to communicate with you via your dreams, perhaps because they are afraid to reach out to you on a conscious level. I’d like to share an example of such a dream that I had just a couple of nights ago, as it was extremely powerful. I must first add, however, that this was about the 5th dream I’ve had of this person in the last 2 months. Prior to this, I had NEVER dreamed of him, so I knew something unusual was going on. In my recent dream, the son of a gentleman friend showed up outside my house calling for his dad. When he received no answer, he called out for me by name, only he used a name he shouldn’t have known. It’s a name few know about and even fewer use. Here he was standing outside my house calling this name. It was with such sadness that he called out to me that I was compelled to answer. I threw open the window on the third floor and responded, “What’s wrong, sweetheart?” Now this is odd in itself, because I must clarify here that I have NEVER met this individual. I know of him, and he knows of me, but we’ve never spoken to each other, and in fact, I’m not really even in touch with his dad anymore. And he’s an adult to boot, albeit a young adult, but my point is that it’s not like I was addressing him in this sweet manner because he was a little boy. Somehow I felt this immense affection for him. I’ve always known I’ve had a soul connection with this individual; we are from the same soul family. I am reminded of this every time I see or hear his name or see a photo of him, etc. I can only imagine that my response bearing such affection was from this inner knowingness. When he heard me call out, he looked up at me in the window and responded to my question. What he said floored me. This doesn’t make sense, I thought. Why is he saying this to me? Then the dream jumped ahead, and he was with me at a spiritual expo helping me set-up my booth. It was just the two of us working. Then a female expo coordinator swung by the booth to let me know that the seminar I was teaching was about to start soon. I gathered my things to head to the auditorium. Then I awoke. As I lay there in bed contemplating this dream and the feelings it evoked in me, I couldn’t help feeling unnerved by the words expressed to me by this young man. I was very concerned about him. Though I had had about 4 prior dreams in the last 2 months, it wasn’t until this particular dream that I finally realized that he had been trying to communicate with me all this time. So distraught and unnerved was I that I decided I would connect with him telepathically in my waking state and invite him to communicate with me telepathically while I was conscious. When I called in his energy and invited him to communicate telepathically, he rushed right in. He was eager and in a hurry to share. He started out with “I’ve wanted to talk with you for a long time…” And then he talked and talked and talked. For 40 minutes he talked and addressed why he’d been trying to communicate with me for the last 2 months. I only interjected on occasion to ask a question or request clarity. I was startled by what he shared. After the 40 minutes, he announced that he needed to go, and I released him, with the understanding that we would likely connect once more telepathically before the solstice, or perhaps on the day of the solstice. So… what does all
this mean? The increasing vibration is affecting many people in different ways, and it is supporting communication, communication that may not have felt possible by one or both parties until now, now that the earth’s vibration is much higher. If you feel someone is trying to communicate with you at this time in your dreams, make a note of it when you awaken from your dream. Write down as many details of the dream as you can remember, including your feelings (both feelings that you had in the dream as well as feelings that you have as you contemplate the dream). And then contemplate what you’ve written and experienced. Is this person attempting to reach you in your dreams because they are unable (or afraid) to reach out to you in your awakened state? What is the message that they are trying to share with you?
4 – Psychic Attack: We can be psychically attacked in our dreams by both human and non-human entities, for different reasons. I’d like to save this discussion for my upcoming post on psychic attack, as psychic attack can also occur in our awakened state.
Sometimes a dream is just a dream, just a processing of miscellaneous mental debris that needs to be cleared and processed out of our consciousness to make room for more. But sometimes…it is so much more!
Love and blessings,
